Great lounge with a view of a better one

Club Copa, Panama City Airport lounge guide
Large open seating area with modern chairs and natural light at the Copacabana Airport Lounge.<br />

The Copa Club (often called the Copacabana Lounge) at Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport is one of the largest and most modern lounges in Central America, designed as a calm, open-air hub for business travelers and long-haul flyers connecting through Copa’s global network. The architecture feels airy and contemporary, with greenery, high ceilings, and plenty of natural light spilling over the two-level seating areas. It’s a comfortable place to reset between flights, especially if you’re coming off a long red-eye or preparing for international travel.

While the food selection isn’t a full buffet, the lounge excels in comfort, workspace availability, and a great bar with complimentary drinks. Service is quick, the Wi-Fi works well, and the entire space feels clean and efficiently run. If you’re flying Copa business class, or have Priority Pass, it’s easily worth the stop—especially for the quiet room, spacious seating, and showers that help you regroup before your next leg.

Club Copa, Panama City Airport lounge guide

The lounge is located in Terminal 2 at Tocumen International Airport (PTY), near the central concourse area. It’s easy to find after security, with clear signage directing you upstairs toward the mezzanine level.

Overall Rating: 7.5 / 10

Anecdotal Thoughts: Great lounge, nice open-air views, nothing too fancy, basic and small but good snacks.

Ambiance: Modern, open-air, business-traveler vibe.

Cleanliness: Very clean and well-maintained, with staff clearing your table every 5 minutes

Service: Attentive and efficient.

Comfort: Good — plenty of seating and good airflow, but nowhere to hide if you’re trying to sneak a nap.

Crowding level: Around 60% capacity during my visit. Felt uncrowded.
